SpookyFish Games Update

First and foremost, Happy New Year to all the fans of SpookyFish Games, here’s hoping you have a good 2016, and thanks to all of you who bought and played 99 Waves to Die. I’ve been dreaming of being a game developer since I was a child, so finally making a game and getting it out there for people in the real world to play, and enjoy (for the most part :) ) has been a surreal experience, and I couldn’t have done it without any of you, so thank you for all your support.

Now onto business, firstly apologies for the lack of updates. 2015 was a crazy year, I got my first game published on Steam, and then worked for 3-4 months on a new project, that didn’t work, so effectively went into the trash. As you can imagine this was a little disheartening but, in the end, a great learning experience that I hope will help me move forward with SpookyFish Games into 2016.

To this end I’ve started to resurrect a game idea that I got a fair way along with early last year and, with the things I’ve learned with the release of 99 Waves to Die (and the unreleased project) over the last 12 months, I’m confident will be something that people will really enjoy playing. One of the lessons learned this year is that I should be concentrating on one platform for my next project, as the restrictions and complications of multi platform development are a lot to contend with for a one man development team, and can at least announce that the next project will be developed exclusively for the PC platform and, Greenlight permitting, will be available on Steam.

I’m currently working on prototyping, and finalising the design for this idea, and hope to have some really early pre-alpha stuff to show people in the next couple of months, and I’m currently aiming for a release date in Q4 2016, real life permitting.

Keep your eyes peeled on the website, Facebook and Twitter for updates, and again, thanks for all the support in 2015, keep playing and have a great 2016.
